Hacker Hijacks “The Hulk’s” Twitter Account

An unknown hacker demonstrated that Mark Ruffalo, the actor that plays The Hulk in The Avengers movie, is not that tough when it comes to the Internet and took over his Twitter account.

Forbes informs that the hacker used the compromised account to post links to adult services in Hollywood, but also criticized the celebrity for his large carbon footprint.

After his account had been overtaken, Ruffalo rushed to make a new one, but in the meantime, the hacker had changed the name of the profile to @tauyeutram, leaving the initial username, @Mruff221, available.

A Good Samaritan quickly re-registered the name to make sure that the actor could have it back.

“To clarify, I am not Mark, or the hacker. I just took this name while he was hacked, in case he wanted it back, & I will hand it over,” wrote the individual that registered the name.

After being accused of being the hacker, he wrote, “Giving up answering Tweets. Last word on the matter. Mark's account was hacked, and the hacker renamed it, so this username became free. I registered the name so Mark could get it back if he wanted it. I'm happy to hand it over, or e-mail the password to him. End of story.”

“Dude, You are my hero. Thanks for giving me back my identity. Thanks for thinking to save it. Best to you,” Ruffalo responded.

Twitter transferred the followers and the old tweets to Hulk’s new account, @Mark_Ruffalo.

Of course, as many of you may know, this is not the first celebrity whose Twitter account is hijacked. Among the ones who have failed to set strong passwords, or who have fallen victims to phishing we have mentioned Lady Gaga, Ashton Kutcher, and Kesha.
